You have to be a Chennaiite aka Madrasi to know the importance of water conservation. Irrespective of whether you are a chennai-ite or not these Water Conservation Tips given by ITW are certainly worth taking a look at.

'You have to be a Chennaiite aka Madrasi to know the importance of water conservation' -- tell me about it. I go crazy every time I see a faucet dripping or when people gripe about rains and say how it disrupts their day.
@rebel - I am with you all the way :)
haha, so true about a madrasi. I no longer am there, but extremely picky about wasting water. 1 habit am not ashamed of.
Thanks rads :) ANd thanks for dropping by.
It was a very nice post indeed... But, actually practicing it in a place where there is no water scarcity sounds illogical. For example in US(where I am right now) it is irrelevant if I save water or not because there is a near unlimited source.
Engineering point of view: it is a waste of time... But definitely need to followed religiously in Madras.
Maybe I am just going all philosophical these days.
PS: I am from Madras.
@pratap- Thanks for dropping in :)
Actually safe water is a major concern all over the world, not necessarily only in India. In fact in California there was a struggle over water (Water Wars) between LA and the farmers of Owens valley at the turn of the previous century. Water has become a political tool across the world and there is a theory that the next major war could be over water.
