@Deepa - the conviction in your words tell me that you probably know more details. And thanks, no thank you for the opportunity to write an obit to another blog. Just too many blogs seem to be disappearing these days. :(

I really hope this is not the case of another blogger pissed off by people fighting in her comment box!

Yes Sundar - the number of people (bloggers) dropping out of circulation is troubling - and many of them are excellent bloggers.
I don't think that GB is a person who is pissed off by people fighting in her comment space. But then the nature of her post was such, that she could have had pressure to take it "off the air".
Now her blog seems to be open only for invited readers. I am not one yet. :(

@Sundar- Deleting my blog had nothing to do with my readers. The LGBT post had positive comments and there was no flaming at all...I would anyway never take something off just because people were pissed about it or it created controversy.. I do Gender Studies and I can't study a course like that if all I am ready to face is smooth sailing.
@Visitor- No no no, there has been no pressure from anybody to delete my blog, not at all! I wouldn't cave in to such pressure anyway. I don't know why blogger shows up that invited readers only thingy...I deleted my blog, it's unavailable to myself even! Rest assured that if I do start blogging again, you will be informed and it will be a public blog with anonymous comments enabled as well. The greatest joy of blogging is to catch the attention of people you don't know, to get them to listen to what you have to say and then eventually, to get them to recommend your blog to other people so they can listen to what you have to say as well- I wouldn't give that up for sure.
Hi GB - nice to know that you are around! :) And here I was sitting trying to compose a post about how people in public space (a la Rajini) cannot retire, that they have an obligation to the pubic (their dependants) and so on (you get the drift?)
Try contacting blogger support team to help you out, or search the web for the bug. I remember a link that said something about deletion of posts in blogger. See here. But this is a pretty old bug, so it must've been fixed.
well.. i shall respect the brownie's privacy here and not say anything personal about why she deleted her blog and stuff... i know your comments mean a lot to her.. but i managed to get all of her posts.. some with the comments intact. i was thinking of starting a blog and putting all of her posts there.. what do you guys think?
